Host and Vice President of Marketing James Bosma sits down with Jonathan Mugmon, Principal - Wayfinding Director at global design firm Populous. Jonathan is also the author of the recently published book, The Science of Wayfinding.
Drawing from more than thirty years of experience developing human-centered navigation strategies for cities, cultural institutions, and iconic sports and entertainment venues, Jonathan translates core principles from his book into practical design solutions. The discussion centers on the importance of empathetic design, analyzing how distinct audience demographics interact within shared spaces, and accounting for the impact of culture and local context on strategy.
Jonathan also previews the upcoming design bootcamp he and his team will lead at SEGD's annual conference in Kansas City.
