NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- AMDA College of the Performing Arts proudly announces a groundbreaking academic partnership with Fordham University, providing AMDA students with a seamless pathway to complete a fully accredited Bachelor's Degree from one of the nation's most respected private universities.

This new partnership empowers students to combine AMDA's world-renowned performing arts training with a Fordham degree, offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to pursue programs that unite artistic excellence with academic advancement and career versatility in:

  • Entertainment Business for the Performer
  • Social Media and Marketing for the Performer
  • Psychology for the Performing Artist
  • Public Relations for Entertainment

Enrollment begins immediately for these programs starting this Spring (January 2026). Eligible AMDA students who complete the three-year Certificate Program at AMDA's New York campus may transfer directly into Fordham University's School of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) and earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in as few as 2-3 semesters.

"This partnership is about access, opportunity, and preparing our students not only to thrive as performers—but as leaders, innovators, and changemakers," said Dr. Michael Angotti, Provost at AMDA. "Our students can now earn their degree from a world-class university without compromising their artistic training."

Fordham's individualized major options are incredible opportunities for AMDA students. These tailored BA majors allow students to graduate with the tools to lead creative enterprises, manage projects, and evolve within today's hybrid creative economy.

"Fordham is proud to welcome AMDA students into a community that values academic rigor, social impact, and personal growth," said Dr. Davidson, Dean of PCS at Fordham University. "We are honored to support the next generation of performing artists as they expand their potential both on stage and beyond."

Why This Partnership Matters:

  • AMDA Students graduate with two prestigious institutions on their résumé: AMDA + Fordham
  • Certificate graduates can complete their BA in as little as 2-3 additional semesters
  • Flexible degree options designed for creative professionals
  • Students can remain in New York City, the heart of the creative arts industry
